Carbon offsets are financial instruments which are increasingly important to larger
organisations. They are aimed at the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and are
measured in metric tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e) and charged in Pounds
per Tonne.
Carbon offsets are calculated using the Kyoto Fleet Rate of 2.66 Kg/litre saved.
Again the savings are calculated at both the 6% and 10% rates. The last row in the
table shows the annual CO2 savings in Tonnes at 6% and 10% respectively.
